Hawaiian Sites

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park
Established in 1916, displays the results of 70 million years of volcanism, migration, and evolution — processes that thrust a bare land from the sea and clothed it with complex and unique ecosystems and a distinct human culture.

The park encompasses 230,000 acres and ranges from sea level to the summit of the earth's most massive volcano, Mauna Loa at 13,677 feet.

Fees: $10.00 per vehicle. $5.00 per bicycle.

Lava Rock Cafe
One of the newer and up and coming restaurants to serve the area. It features all of the local favorites that have made local Hawaiian food famous world wide. It offers a family style dining atmosphere with a definite local hospitality and decor. Servings are generous and presented in a truly local flavor. Features live dining music at least twice a week. This place is highly recommended and for good reason. *Highly Recommended*
